During my summer internship working at a design agency called Shoptology, another creative intern and I were tasked with designing a platform for Shoptologists to easily seek, capture, and share inspirational content around where shopping is headed. While Shoptologists often visit various retailers to conduct first-hand retailer recon, sharing that intel back with the broader team is cumbersome – particularly when it comes to photos and visual reference. Shoptologists currently share this visual reference through emails, the server, WorkFront updates, or other forms of communication – usually referenced to a single, specific project, program, or client asks. Beyond the immediate need, this content often becomes all but lost for future reference.
